Midwest Paper Products History
From the beginning, we supplied business clients with the first supply of roll paper free of charge. This is done as a good will amenity and to ensure them a healthy start. When prices nearly doubled, by our local provider in early 2010. This threatened to put an end to TermNet's good works and placing an economic hardship on small business. We, Mike Stanford and Marilyn Stonebraker decided to found Midwest Paper Products, to counter the escalating paper products cost.
Combining our company's needs with those of their mid-size and small business clients, it was a fresh start. Midwest could procure its own paper at wholesale prices, purchase by the pallet, and secure a lower cost for everyone. We want our customers to get our same discount. Bringing in quality and going directly to U.S. manufacturers. We could generally save our clients 15-40 percent and almost half for some, along with free delivery to Fort Wayne and the surrounding communities.
Giving free paper per startup, it's easy to see how the need for Midwest arose. Termnet supplies paper to a 20 State hamburger chain, as well as, many other local businesses. We give paper away to our new startups to help get them off to a good start. We are there to provide them with a cost effective way to acquire paper products for their business. As we reduce our cost, we reduce the cost of many other small businesses. Our plan is to help our customer's cut cost. We operate as a service not a profit center.
To date, Midwest supplies 37 local non-profit schools and charities with free service and paper their fundraisers. Family and Children's services, the United Way of Allen County and the Vera Bradley Foundation are among the charities receiving the free services. It's easy to see the benefits trickling down to those in the community who really need them.
We donate our equipment and personnel to accept credit card purchases for their events. We'd like to offer all 501c3; non-profit organizations in Allen County free paper all the time. Included in the donation is the free download of the organizations processing data, a $50 value, even before the event begins.
Our company has a heart for all of the non-profit's we support. Marilyn has a special affection for Erin's House. "After my husbands early death a number of years ago, I along with the twins who were seven at the time, attended Erin's House. Who helped my family mediate the difficult challenges of coping with loss and the grieving process." "Making donations to help profits for charities is just the right thing to do." She says.
